Trick Or Treat!!! (Halloween Part 2)

BOO! I told you I'd be back, and scarier than ever!!! I'm standing in my Trick Or Treat bag, in case you were wondering.... So after I got all scaaaaaaried up in my skeleton costume, we went over to Jack's house.....TRICK OR TREAT Jack!!!!!!!

Jack and I posed for a few quick pictures to indulge our moms, before we chowed down on some pumpkin seeds and grilled cheese sandwiches (well, our folks did!).

Hi Jack! Your Super Man costume is really cool! Can I see your cape?
Whoah! Sorry buddy! I thought I had this "sitting up" thing down pat....I guess I still need a little practice!
Actually, I'm kinda comfy! Mind if I stay here and take a little rest?
Dude....you're a real pal!
Jack's Dad is a pretty funny guy!
I had fun with Janette and Ryan too!
Mmmmm....I think I like these Crunch bars the best!
After all of that Trick Or Treating (ok, Jack's mom just emptied the candy bowl on us....we weren't big enough to knock on anyone's door or anything) Jack and I sorted all of our treats and did some trading. Hey Jack....I'll trade you this Snickers Bar for some M&M's?!
We had SO much fun at Jack's house! We got to see Jack's Grandparents (all 4 of 'em!), and his Uncle Mike, Aunt Jen, and Cousin Brendan. Janette and Ryan were there, and a few other friends too! They had lots of Trick Or Treaters, and Jack's mom and dad made awesome snacks! Janette even made a really delicious crisp with ice cream for dessert....wow....
I had so much fun seeing everyone, and Jack and I got to stay up REALLY late! Can we have Halloween again tomorrow????

BOO! (Halloween, Part 1)

I think I like this Halloween thing! I might be a baby, but I sure have the holiday spirit! Here's how my first Halloween went....

First we just relaxed around our house, and I tried to blend in with the pumpkins... If only I hadn't drooled all over my shirt, I would've been incognito.....I look just like a pumpkin!

I know, everyone thinks this "pumpkin butt" thing is really funny....glad I'm here to entertain you!

Then Daddy and I practiced our "sitting". Daddy is doing pretty good, but I need this ball to help me stay up!

We were going over to my buddy Jack's house for a Halloween party later, so Daddy baked some pumpkin treats. Then Mommy got to work, and frosted them with scary black frosting. By the way, who is this Martha Stewart that Mommy keeps talking about when she tells Daddy that she's made perfect swirls on these cupcakes??Then we got to decorate them.....hey Daddy, can we use these chocolate chips?

Ohhh.....Reeses Pieces! Let's sprinkle some of these on! I think Jack's Daddy might like these....

So that was our morning folks.....then I had to go get my costume on.....stay tuned!

Random Round-Up

Hey Mom! You take SO many pictures of me, and now you can't keep up with posting them! So I guess you'll have to just show people everything in one big string of random pictures.....so here goes...I'll narrate...

Here I am with my Baubee when she was here...peep my bright orange pumpkin shirt....mmmm....pumpkins....hey Mom.....when am I old enough to have some pumpkin pie? Here I am with my bear. Daddy named him Bernie. Why? Because that's a nice Jewish name for a bear. And because my friends have told me that Daddies like to name all of our toys. Bernie is a cooler name than my mommy had for her favorite stuffed animal when she was little. He was a pink elephant, named "Pink Elephant". Yeah, real creative, that mom of mine.

Bernie, hold still! I'm trying to hug you!

Thank you Kerry and Caleb for my hat! It makes me look like a big boy....I'll be playing in your sandbox soon Caleb!

Hey! Why is this picture in here? It's just my Mommy and Daddy, playing around....ummm....this is MY blog folks! Let's get back to the pictures of me!

Mommy bought me a new towel for after bath time....I'm a little freaked out by it, but it's just 'cause I hate getting OUT of the bath!

My new friend Nathanael sent me a little card so I can see his pictures! Mommy put it up on my bulletin board, but first I had to check it out for myself. Nice shots, Nathanael!

Life isn't all play and no work, sometimes I have to help Daddy pay the bills.

Hey Dad, this paying bills thing is kind of fun! Not so sure what everyone's complaining about?!

Here I am posing in my "Rylee Shirt".....we really miss her, so I have some shirts that have a puppy on them that looks like her! I actually wore this shirt to music class last week, and it made me feel pretty strong.....I didn't cry! Not even once! I was brave when all the loud noises happened, just like Rylee used to be!

How do you like this pose Mom??
Well, that's all for now folks. Thanks again for following me on this blog....and check back real soon for my Halloween pictures! Jack and I looked SUPER cool! Get it Jack? SUPER cool ;)

5 Months Old!

Max turned 5 months old yesterday, which of course means that we document how big he's getting with some"Chair Pictures". But this time, we changed things up a bit.....

Max thought it was important to show off his Chase Utley T-Shirt.....I mean, the guy did hit TWO homeruns in Game 1!

Ummmm.....what are you doing with that hat Dad?
Oh....I get it.....
So Dad, is it really true that the Phillies went to the World Series LAST year too? And you were there?
Say that one more time Dad.....you want me to pitch the ball how?

Belly Flop

Guess who can roll over from his back to his tummy now? On a regular basis?

Now guess who can roll over from his back to his tummy AT NIGHT? IN HIS CRIB?

Oh yeah....no joke.

Apparently Max didn't get the memo about how babies are supposed to sleep on their backs. He didn't read the article at Parents.com about the Back To Sleep campaign.

There's nothing like walking into your baby's room and finding him face down in bed, his little butt sticking up in the air. Or waking up at 2 am to the sound of his tiny little sleepy cries, as he does an unnecessary round of tummy time push-ups with his EYES CLOSED.

Guess how many times mom and dad stood there and rolled him on to his back, only to have him immediately spring back to his tummy. ENDLESS times. At 4 am. And how many times did we try to tilt his little face to the side so that his nose wasn't squashed into the sheet as he lay flat on his face? ENDLESS times.

So we talked to the Pediatrician, and two teachers at DayOne, and a few other moms....and the general consensus was that if Max was strong enough to get himself into these predicaments, then he was strong enough to get himself enough air. Hmmmmm.....of course I'm still worried.....but there was something pretty funny about walking in and seeing THIS little butt in the air last night.....

Brrrrr!

It's been a little chilly around here lately! So chilly, that I need to snuggle up in TWO of my special blankets, just to stay warm!

You stay warmer when you eat the blanket...

See my eyebrow? Yeah, that's for you!

Sit On It

See this little BABY chair folks? I'm big enough to SIT in it like a big boy now! Mommy set me down in here, expecting me to lay back and relax, like I used to do when I was tiny. But nope. Not me. See how I'm proppin' myself up? Yep, just like that folks....I'm big.
This cool hat helps me practice. It makes me look older, don't you think?

And when I wear it old school, to the side like this....yep.....it props me up!

Check me out....

Whoah!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a little carried away......I thought this hat was supposed to help!
Yeah, it's a little easier to sit up nice and tall with a little help from my Dad!
